On 27 February 2019, the state Government passed Queensland’s Human Rights Act.
The Act protects 23 rights, including the right to privacy and home, access to education and health services, cultural rights, and more, and is expected to commence on 1 January 2020. We are gathering information from community organisations, peak bodies and service providers about their plans, needs and ideas related to the implementation of the Human Rights Act.
